About this deal

The use of Straight and Polygonal Lines as the fundamental elements of design representing the rigorous attitude in technology while remaining fascinating.

While both image sensors are capable of true 4K UHD, the IMX415 is a tad smaller and as a result, nighttime footage appears darker compared to the U1000. This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if the Miofive 4K UHD dash cam had removable storage, but, like the Road Angel Halo Ultra, it’s stuck with just 64GB of onboard space. This camera impressed us with its daytime performance, allowing us to easily read license plates and road signs. This also explains why many dash cams produce similar quality videos – they’re all generally using the same hardware. Overall, setup is super easy and the camera simply gets on with recording high-resolution video on loop.

The Miofive can record video up to 4K UHD at 30 frames per second, while the back camera can record in 2K QHD at 30 frames per second. To summarise though, it worked perfectly fine in the past until few days ago when I really needed the video to speed up a case. With the device selected, you can Live view the video feed and scroll through the video and photo album created by the camera. You can browse movies and download one or more at a time to your phone, but even over 5GHz Wi-Fi each file transfer takes around 30 seconds, and you can’t do anything else in the app – like browse to a second incident – while it’s ongoing. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.Despite it’s high-end features and design, the Miofive Dual Dash Cam is an incredibly easy-to-use device. The overall score includes ratings for day and night video, the quality of moving video, and the horizontal range of footage captured. Equipped with 4K resolution and a wide 140-degree field of view (FOV), the Miofive 4K provides sharp and detailed daytime footage. The camera was powered by its 12V cable, and operated via both the unit itself and through the mobile app to compare the two experiences. It's also a strong performer at night-time, using "Sony Starvis Night Vision" to brighten up the image.

It’s hard not to like a dash cam that clearly enunciates the friendly greeting, “Miofive is here for you!It also chides you about ‘harsh’ driving, and can look out for signs of fatigue, but it can’t warn you if you’re drifting out of a lane. It also take a while to make up one of my plate capture videos, even if the raw material are just like 20 seconds.

I'm suspending my MIOFIVE Dash Cam Dual review until MIOFIVE issues a firmware update for that issue. For the most part, you’ll likely keep the Miofive Dual Dash Cam in its Loop Video mode, which is continually recording one-minute clips.
