About this deal

This is a no bake cheesecake that relies on the fat content to set in the fridge. In the UK the fat content of double cream makes it stable to use in cheesecake filling. In the US the fat content is slightly lower so bear that in mind if you are making this recipe. Naturally, you can also experiment with the cheese filling by adding even more chocolate to it. To be more specific, you can add 2 spoonfuls of Nutella for nice notes of hazelnut.

Add the filling to the tin and smooth it out, then put it in the fridge for several hours to set. To decorate, remove from the tin and drizzle melted milk chocolate over the cheesecake. Then add whipped cream around the edge and lots of Maltesers! This cake can also be baked but the baked version will remain more pale, turning just slightly light brown on the surface. You can achieve a similar caramelized appearance but it requires you to bake much longer and will make the cheesecake more firm, almost like a firm flan. Cream cheese is what I mostly use though because it's easy to find and the texture is wonderful.
