So, y’all know me. I love a good Colleen Hoover book. Most of the books I’ve read by her, I loved (excluding Layla). Regretting You, though? Not my favorite, but also not my least favorite (see the previous parenthesis). I love the mother-daughter message that Hoover is writing about in this novel, but the romance for me was just not there. Jonah and Morgan never really had that spark. Even though that spark between them was mentioned multiple times, it just never felt real to me. Clara and Miller had more romanticism between them in my opinion. Es una mujer con un carácter más suave, es conciliadora, tiene ese lado tierno y amoroso. Nunca ha sido realmente feliz, no ha tenido un propósito en la vida y quiere encontrarlo. Right after something tragic happens, you feel like you’ve fallen off a cliff. But after the tragedy starts to sink in, you realize you didn’t fall off a cliff. You’re on an eternal roller coaster that just reached the bottom. Now it’s gonna be up and down and upside down for a long, long time. Maybe even forever.” JONAH: Él también me gustó mucho y sufría demasiado viendo a la mujer que amaba con su mejor amigo. Overall, this is not my favorite Colleen Hoover book, but I think it’s still worth a read! Family relationships come front and center for this novel, so don’t expect a huge romantic plotline. But the way that Morgan and Clara deal with tragedy is definitely the highlight of this novel!

The mother daughter relationship that y’all praised this book for (and maybe I don’t have a place to judge because what do I know about being a parent??) grated on my nerves. I didn’t like the way they treated each other. It was really hard to root for either of them when you, being the reader, knew what was going on. The misunderstanding was frustrating to no end.Wow, this story is incredible. I will admit, after discovering this book is YA (or at least has a POV from a sixteen year old character) I was trying to lower my expectations, because I haven’t been a huge fan of Colleen’s past YA books. But this book is exceptional. No quiero hacerles spoiler para no arruinar su lectura pero no me voy a poder contener ya que ninguna de mis amigas quiere leer este libro y esta es mi única vía de desahogo. ARE WARNED. That emptiness is being replaced with heat and flutters and heartbeats, and I hate it because it feels like I’ve just pinpointed what has caused me to feel so empty these past few weeks. Jonah. Sometimes when we’re alone, he looks at me in a way that makes me feel empty when he looks away. It’s a feeling I’ve never gotten when Chris looks at me. This realization scares me to death.”

MILLER Él es un ser de luz que cada vez que salía resplandecía todo esta historia que era drama everywhere. I don’t want to say much about the book. But I need to say that I’ve felt a huge amount of anger. What happened in this book made me so angry and hurt. This book is written from two POVs, a mother and her daughter. I definitely enjoyed the mother’s chapters more. And as much as Clara was annoying, I kinda understand her? I mean, she’s a teenager after all, so I guess that’s how they act? I don’t know, it feels like it’s been so long since I’ve been a teenager myself!! I just cannot like a book based solely on the writing style. I don't want to sympathize with characters and themes which are really morally disgraceful and harmful. The book sends a very wrong message trying to convince that whatever the heart desires is correct even if it hurts your husband, your sister, your kid and that even cheating/infidelity has its own good reasons. What the hell. Seriously?!This was a MESS, and I’m having a serious case of NEBRASKA headache. Being in Clara’s head made me want to commit murder. I’m sorry, but despite understanding the whole situation, I just CANNOT with this book!!!!! Bueno Colleen otra vez me debe el epilogo as always, o sea odio que no cierre las historias y que nos deje con ganas de saber más. No me llamaba nada la sinopsis cuando lo la léi dije ay nooo drama, pero que puedo esperar de CoHo, pero me sorprendió y me gustó.

Regretting You is a story that depicts family life. It introduces us to four characters Morgan, Chris, Jenny (Morgan's sister) and Jonah (Chris's) best friend. These four have spent every waking hour together as a group since graduating high school. STEP 4: Add some 0 dimensional side characters who are only there to make the mcs realise their mistakes. You’re on an eternal roller coaster that just reached the bottom. Now it’s gonna be up and down and upside down for a long, long time. Maybe even forever.” It means people who make mistakes usually learn from them. That doesn’t make them hypocrites. It makes them experienced.”I went into this novel not knowing much about it except having read the basic description of the book, and I recommend doing the same...knowing little as possible!!! I really loved it and couldn't put it down. It is very character driven and the dialogue is sharp. So when you decide to commit to someone, you aren’t saying, ‘I promise I’ll never be attracted to anyone else.’ You’re saying, ‘I promise to commit to you, despite my potential future attraction to other people.’” I look at Clara. “Relationships are hard for that very reason. Your body and your heart don’t stop finding the beauty and the attraction in other people simply because you’ve made a commitment to one person. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you’re drawn to someone else, it’s up to you to remove yourself from that situation before it becomes too hard to fight.” This is the fourth of her books I’ve read in the last few months. (I've also read Verity, It Ends with Us, and Ugly Love.) I’m thankful she’s written a bunch, because I am a huge fan!
